About Me!
I'm Meg Robinson. I'm obsessed with capturing the raw & unseen moments around me. I do this through photo, video, and graphic design. I'm a Senior at Samford University and am finishing up my fourth year as a student creative for Samford Athletics.
My photography journey began sophomore year of high school in 2019, when what started as casual photoshoots with my sister quickly turned into shooting games for my school yearbook and photographing my first concert in 2021. Through high school I honed my storytelling by covering championship wins, historic basketball tournaments, and building genuine relationships with the teams I shot for.
When I arrived at Samford, I took my craft to the next level as a student photographer for Samford Athletics. There, I learned the fundamentals of editing, workflow, and game-day positioning before expanding into travel, videography, shot lists, and equipment. I strived to balancing the technical side with a smooth workflow, all while growing the relationships and community that make the work worth it.
One of my favorite events I've been able to photograph was the Samford Men's Basketball season of 2023-2024. I was able to travel with them to their conference championship victory, as well as their NCAA tournament appearance! Celebrating this team's hard work with the photos and moments I captured was a huge honor and experience I'll never stop talking about!
A second memorable sports content experience was the March of my Senior year of college. As a creative intern at Knight Eady, I travelled to four tournaments to capture both the hard work of the agency employees and the raw moments of high school and college basketball. In two and a half weeks, I captured over 25,000+ raw images, 17 games, five tournaments, and two championship trophy ceremonies. I grew so much as a photographer and person over that amount of time. Learning and laughing alongside my mentors and peers was truly the most fun and inspiring two weeks of sports content producing I've ever had!
The greatest gift this art has given me is the joy I get from sharing my photos with others. The electric shock that fills my body when I get the perfect shot is always my sign to keep doing this.
